2015 (Falcons)

Played in 15 games with 14 starts in 2015. Totaled 68 tackles (59 solo) with three interceptions, one sack, one fumble recovery, and five passes defensed.

Made his first NFL start vs. Philadelphia (9/14). Recorded seven tackles (five solo) and grabbed his first career interception, picking off QB Sam Bradford with 1:17 remaining in the game to secure a 26-24 Falcons win.

Posted a team-high six tackles (five solo) and recorded his first career sack against Tampa Bay (11/1). Dragged down QB Jameis Winston for a sack on a fourth-and-one play that gave the offense a chance send the game to overtime.

Notched his second career interception against Indianapolis (11/22), picking off QB Matt Hasselbeck at the Falcons two-yard line to prevent a Colts score. Also tallied three tackles.

Picked off QB Teddy Bridgewater in the end zone for his third interception of the season against Minnesota (11/29). Also added six total tackles (three solo). Recorded an interception in back-to-back games.

Logged eight tackles and recovered a Doug Martin fumble at Tampa Bay (12/6). The fumble recovery was the first of his career and marked his third straight game with a takeaway.

Notched three tackles against Carolina (12/27). Helped the defense hold the Panthers to their lowest point total of the season (13) and hold QB Cam Newton to 4.7 yards per pass attempt, his lowest mark of the year.

Made the switch from cornerback to safety during the 2015 offseason. Played in 15 games with 14 starts in his first year on the active roster.

Spent the 2014 season as a member of the Falcons practice squad.

College

Earned All-Big 10 honors all four years at Purdue and finished his career as the Boilermakers’ record holder with four interception returns for touchdowns, 13 interceptions and 263 total tackles.  

Led the Boilermakers with six interceptions during his senior season in 2013 while adding 53 tackles (42 solo), with four tackles for loss, and 12 passes defensed.

Started 11 games as a junior in 2012, earning All-Big 10 honors after posting 46 tackles, (43 solo), four tackles for loss, one sack, one interception, four passes broken up, and one forced fumble.

Tallied 81 total tackles (62 solo), three tackles for loss, and a team-high three interceptions as a sophomore in 2011.

Started 12 games as a true freshman, earning second team Freshman All-America honors from Scout.com and was named a second team All-Big 10 selection. Tied for third on the team with 83 total tackles (56 solo), 3.5 tackles for loss, one sack, and a team-high three interceptions during his first season at Purdue in 2010.

Returned a pair of interceptions for touchdowns as a freshman in games, vs. Michigan (94 yards) and at No. 11 Michigan State (35 yards), while leading the Big 10 Conference with 129 total interception return yards.

Personal

Attended Mainland (Daytona Beach, Fla.) High School where he was a first team Daytona Beach News Journal All-Area selection as senior after posting 64 tackles and two interceptions. Also played soccer and participated in track and field.

Majored in general health sciences at Purdue. Is a student of football as he enjoys training, studying film, and lifting weights.
