Boasted a 46.6 yard punting average while breaking his own franchise record and ranking sixth in the NFL with a 41.1 yard net punting average. Also dropped 26 punts inside the 20-yard line. Kicked off 73 times last season with 50 touchbacks and three recovered onside kicks. His consistency led to touchbacks on 68.5 percent of his kickoff s, a mark ranked third in the NFL in 2013. Last season, 64 of his 73 kickoffs reached the endzone, excluding onside attempts, and his 87.7 endzone percentage ranked eighth in the League. Bosher’s three successful onside kicks in 2013 were the most in the NFL since 2007 when Arizona’s Neil Rackers also had three successful onside attempts.

Has dropped 75 punts inside the 20-yard line with just 10 landing in the endzone for touchbacks. Has kicked off 253 times with 120 touchbacks, a 47.4 touchback percentage, and a 66.0 yard average. Punted 60 times for 2,827 yards, with a 47.1 yard average and set a franchise record with a 40.7 yard net punting average in 2012. In 2012, posted six games with an average above 50 yards, including a season-high 53.2 yard average in a Week 13 win over the New Orleans Saints (11/29/12). In those six games, dropped eight of his 22 punts inside the 20-yard line and allowed just one touchback. His three touchbacks on punts in 2012 were the lowest total by a Falcons punter since Michael Koenen had three in 2009. Set a franchise record with 45 touchbacks on kickoffs, breaking Koenen’s club best 28 set in 2009. Punted 70 times pinning opponents inside their own 20-yard line 27 times, which was tied for the fourth-highest total in a single season in team history in 2011. Averaged 42.7 per kick and the Falcons allowed 4.8 yards per punt return, which was tops in the NFL in 2011. In 2011, Falcons opponents started 62 of their 180 offensive possessions inside their own 20-yard line, which led the League.

College

Served as the Hurricanes primary placekicker and punter, appearing in 50 games during his career. Set a school record after connecting on 14 consecutive field goal attempts between 2009 and 2010. Posted a string of 105-straight PATs, which is the second-best streak in Miami annals. His 127 PATs and 260 points scored both placed seventh in Hurricanes annals. Connected on 45 field goals as a Hurricane, posting a field goal percentage of 84.9 (45-of-53), including 9-of-13 attempts of 40-or-more yards. As a punter, placed 70-of-234 attempts inside the 20-yard line, finishing with a 41.7-yard average, and averaged at least 40.0 yards in each of his four seasons handling punting duties. Had 49 punts for 50 yards or longer and forced opponents to call for 82 fair catches. Closed out his career ranked second in school history in consecutive PATs made (105), tied for fifth in field goals made (45), seventh in point after touchdowns made (127), in total points scored (260) and points scored kicking (260). As a senior, earned first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors as a punter from The NFL Draft Report and second-team accolades from the league’s media and coaches. He was named the team’s Special Teams Player of the Year and was a candidate for the Lowe’s Senior Class Award. In his junior season, earned All-Atlantic Coast Conference first-team honors as a kicker and second-team recognition as a punter. Ranked second in the league with a 42.53-yard average on 51 punts for 2,169 yards, placing 23 kicks inside the 20-yard line with 12 attempts for 50 yards or longer, seven touchbacks and 21 fair catches. As a sophomore, earned second-team All-ACC honors as a kicker and punter, while receiving the Jack Harding Award, given to the team’s MVP. Was also a semi-finalist for the Lou Groza Award, given to the nation’s top kicker.

Personal

Attended Jupiter (Fla.) High School where Scout.com regarded Bosher as the best kicker in the prep ranks, giving him a four-star prospect rating. He was also rated the top kicker in the nation by Rivals.com. Earned U.S. Army All-American honors and was selected to play in the U.S. Army All American Bowl game after his senior season. Was rated the state of Florida’s best kicking specialist by the Florida Times-Union and the two-time All-State selection was also the recipient of the Lou Groza Award for Palm Beach County as a junior and senior.

Extra Points
