RBs Freeman, Coleman Return to Practice

Monday's practice that was full of rain became a little less gloomy when Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman suited and participated in position drills.

The running back group has recently been plagued with hamstring injuries. Freeman and Coleman were both sidelined for the past week with their respective injuries. Antone Smith —who currently sits behind Freeman and Coleman on the depth chart— injured his hamstring during a 1-yard touchdown run in the first preseason game Friday night.

Even though Freeman and Coleman were limited to position drills, head coach Dan Quinn is optimistic and says they are getting close to being able to fully participate.

"I think they are getting close," Quinn said.  "They participated in the walk-through last night and they participated in the individual session today. So, let's see how they respond. We are certainly hoping to have them back for it, but we are only going to put them out if they are ready to rock."
