Madden Simulation: RB Coleman Runs Wild

The Falcons are going to march into O.co Coliseum on Sunday and earn their first win of the year.

That's according to Madden 17, which, during our weekly simulation, had Atlanta beat Oakland 24-9. The Raiders struck first, but the Falcons pulled away in the third quarter and never looked back.

Matt Ryan![](/team/roster/matt-ryan/7ba8774b-4091-4142-a4c1-1ae868594c2a/ "Matt Ryan") carved up Tampa's D in the last sim, and this time around, the running backs took over. Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman notched 263 yards from scrimmage, accounting for exactly two-thirds of Atlanta's offense.

Coleman had an especially productive afternoon, scoring a trio of touchdowns, making a slew of explosive plays and eluding Raiders left and right.

The defense performed well, too, holding Oakland to only three field goals. Derek Carr completed just 23 of 40 passes for 233 yards. Raiders RBs were held in check with 96 rushing yards on 21 carries. And the secondary kept Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree under 25 receiving yards each.
