A day before facing the Steelers, the Falcons bring in offensive lineman Austin Pasztor and waive Marquis Lucas.

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- The Falcons signed offensive lineman Austin Pasztor and waived offensive lineman Marquis Lucas on Saturday.

Pasztor played and started all 16 games for the Cleveland Browns at right tackle last season, earning a grade of 77.3 from Pro Football Focus. He played in all 16 games with four starts for the Browns in 2015.

Pasztor was signed by the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Virginia in 2012. He was released by the Vikings during roster cuts in the preseason but was subsequently signed to the Jacksonville Jaguars' practice squad. Pasztor was promoted to the active roster in December of 2012, and the 6-7 tackle went on to play in 26 games, with 23 starts over three years for the Jaguars. Pasztor was released by Jacksonville in 2015 and claimed off waivers by the Cleveland Browns.

Lucas was signed by the Buffalo Bills following the 2016 NFL Draft. Last season, he spent time on the Minnesota Vikings' practice squad. He was signed by the Falcons on June 15, 2017.

The Falcons return four of their starting five offensive linemen from last season. Ben Garland and Wes Schweitzer are competing for the starting right guard position, and the coaching staff is using this preseason to evaluate depth. Having played both guard and tackle positions in the NFL, Pasztor should help add versatility to the roster.

Atlanta will play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday at 4 p.m. ET for their second preseason game and final one on the road.
