Falcons Without WR Gabriel, TE Hooper vs. Saints

WR Taylor Gabriel (foot) and TE Austin Hooper (knee) have been ruled out for Sunday's game versus the Saints.

Despite being limited at practice on Thursday, the Falcons will hold Gabriel until he's able to reach his explosive style of running at the level he possesses.

Hooper missed Atlanta's most recent game versus the Panthers, but is getting closer in terms of being able to return, head coach Dan Quinn said earlier in the week.

The Falcons will have rookie LB De'Vondre Campbell back on the field after suffering a concussion that kept him sidelined for Atlanta in Week 16.

And as for if Julio Jones' reps would be monitored, Quinn said they would not be.

"He looked good over the last couple of days, so we aren't going to monitor him," Quinn said. "If he gets sore, then we will take him out. It's not my intent going into [the game]."
