Falcons Make Roster Moves

The Atlanta Falcons spent Thursday morning wrapping up preparations for their first preseason game against the Titans on Friday in the Georgia Dome. Here are a few pictures from the day.

The Atlanta Falcons today announced that they have signed cornerback Travis Howard, linebacker Terrell Manning and running back Evan Royster, and have released offensive lineman DeMarcus Love. 

Howard, 6-1, 200 pounds, was originally signed as a college free agent by the Houston Texans out of Ohio State on May 10, 2013. He was signed by the New England Patriots on October 16, 2013, and placed on their practice squad. He was signed onto the New York Giants practice squad on December 25, 2013.  

Manning, 6-2, 237 pounds was originally selected by the Green Bay Packers in the fifth round (163 pick overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft out of North Carolina State. Manning has had stints with seven different NFL teams. He has seen game action with the Green Bay Packers, San Diego Chargers, Chicago Bears and New York Giants.

Royster, 6-0, 207 pounds, was originally selected by the Washington Redskins in the sixth round (177th) overall of the 2011 NFL Draft out of Penn State. Royster played in 32 games over three years for the Redskins (2011-2013) and tallied 416 yards on 81 carries and two touchdowns. He also had 25 receptions for 180 yards.

Love, 6-4, 315 pounds, was originally selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the sixth round (168th overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft out of Arkansas. Love was on the 53-man roster for the Vikings in 2011. He was signed by the Falcons on July 29, 2015.
