Falcons Host Ninth Annual Friday Night Lights

The ninth annual Kia Motors Friday Night Lights will be held at Grayson High School on Friday, Aug. 5. The Falcons will take the field at 7:30 p.m., with gates opening at 6:00 p.m.

Kia Motors Friday Night Lights is open to the public and admission is free. This grassroots event includes a fan fest with sponsor activities, a post event autograph session and a must-see fireworks show. Also, to kickoff the NFL's Play Football Month, several teams from local NFL FLAG Leagues will be represented on the field.

The Falcons also want to honor their fans with the opening of Mercedes-Benz Stadium in 2017. To that end, fans are asked, as part of a permanent art installation, to bring new or used shoelaces to Friday Night Lights in a mission to collect 10,000 shoelaces. The Falcons have commissioned acclaimed artist Nari Ward to create a work made entirely of shoelaces collected from our local communities. The piece will be showcased in Mercedes-Benz Stadium and will spell the words "ONE VOICE". The finished piece will represent the collective voice of our entire community. Bins will be set up as fans enter to deposit the laces. Any and all adult shoelaces are welcome.
