Did Jackson Lose the Long Locks Before Camp?

From news that he'd move inside and get more time at defensive tackle to his training with pop star Demi Lovato, it's been quite the offseason for Tyson Jackson.

We're now mere weeks from XFINITY® Atlanta Falcons Training Camp and Jackson can't seem to keep himself out of the headlines. When players report to Flowery Branch the day before camp begins, we tend to see some slight transformations. Some guys look noticeably bigger or smaller — in good ways and bad — since they left campus in June after mandatory minicamp.

Others take a much different approach to "new year, new me," and it looks like Jackson is this year's leader heading into the clubhouse for most dramatic change.

According to @eyethebarber on Instagram, he was responsible for giving Jackson a haircut recently, but not just any haircut — the caption reads "I cut off his dreads and now he is looking brand new."

It's tough to truly tell if the long dreads are gone with the angle Jackson is sitting at, but if they're gone, this could be right up there with Julio Jones getting rid of his dreads after his rookie season or former center Joe Hawley shaving his beard during November 2012 to support prostate cancer awareness.

Those who have been paying attention might notice that Atlanta's a strong contender for the All-Hair Team — from Adrian Clayborn's impressive and unique dreads to the free-flowing locks of linebacker Philip Wheeler. If this photo turns out to be more than just Jackson hiding his trademark hair behind a photo angle, it could seriously put a ding in the team's hair power.
