Bears Snag Potential Falcons Draft Target

The Chicago Bears reportedly showed a lot of interest in prospect Leonard Floyd, and with his stock shooting upwards, general manager Ryan Pace wanted to make sure he got his target. So on Thursday night, Pace traded with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to move from No. 11 to No. 9 overall.

The Falcons had been linked to Floyd, as well. Thomas Dimitroff offered praise for the Eastman, Ga., native, at UGA's Pro Day, and a number of writers in our mock draft monitor had him going to Atlanta at No. 17 overall. NFL.com's Bucky Brooks and Sports Illustrated's Chris Burke had Floyd landing with the Falcons in their final mocks.
