Chad Walker returns for his fifth season with the Falcons and his second as a defensive assistant. Walker returned the Falcons in 2018 after coaching the Arkansas Razorbacks outside linebackers in 2017. He spent the 2015 and 2016 seasons as a defensive assistant with the Falcons working with the linebackers. Walker spent two years as a quality control assistant at the University of Oklahoma. Prior to joining the Sooners staff, Walker spent two seasons as the defensive coordinator at Mississippi College.
During his time at Mississippi College, he coached two first-team All-Americans, CB Keith Villafranco (2012) and CB Jarrod Craine (2011). He spent three years at Bryant University, first as defensive backs coach in 2008 before being promoted to defensive coordinator in 2010. Walker helped the Bulldogs post a 19-14 record over their first three years as an FCS program.
