FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – Before minicamp broke, Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan confirmed he and around 12 players would be getting together in an undisclosed location to for a passing camp in July like they've done in previous years past.
It appears this year's passing camp is underway in California with the following players in attendance: Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley, Russell Gage, Eric Saubert, Reggie Davis, Marvin Hall, Mohamed Sanu, Justin Hardy, Austin Hooper and Ryan.
Ryan said he expected Jones to be at the camp despite not being present during the Falcons' offseason workout program.
Ryan believes this time together is extremely valuable as it allows the group to get extra time working together and continuing to build chemistry as a unit.
"We'll have an extended period where we will get some work together," Ryan said. "That's something that we've done in the past couple of years. This year it's a little bit later due to my offseason, but we will still have that chance to work together. I think that'll be really productive for us. It has been really productive for us in the past. This timing will be really good getting closer to training camp. A lot of things we will work on will carry over and we will be able to apply those things at a good intensity."
