Grady Jarrett expected to return to practice, according to Falcons coach Dan Quinn

Falcons coach Dan Quinn told 92.9 The Game that defensive tackle Grady Jarrett will return to practice on Thursday.

"Good news from guys that are on the comeback and we'll see where it goes through practice, but are going to get some practice reps today and that's Grady and Derrick Shelby, so we're encouraged for that," Quinn said. "We'll need every bit of pass rush that you can have (against the Giants)."

Quinn also said that while receivers Mohamed Sanu (hip) and Calvin Ridley (ankle) would be limited in practice, kicker Matt Bryant (hamstring) will miss the Monday night game against the Giants.

Grady, who injured his ankle during the 37-36 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 4, has missed the Falcons' last two games against the Steelers and Buccaneers. In the 41-17 loss to the Steelers, the Falcons surrendered 131 rushing yards and 381 yards of total offense. And in the 34-29 win over the Bucs, the Falcons' defense gave up 510 yards of total offense, 121 of those on the ground. Shelby, a defensive end, injured his groin and has missed the last four games for the Falcons.

The Falcons signed kicker Giorgio Tavecchio on Tuesday, two days after Bryant injured his hamstring while kicking a 57-yard field goal in the Falcons' 34-29 victory against the Buccaneers.
