FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – The Atlanta Falcons announced Saturday that they have waived safety Afolabi Laguda.
Laguda had signed a two-year deal with the Falcons back on April 12.
The 23-year-old Atlanta native had originally signed with the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent prior to the 2018 season but was placed on injured reserve with an undisclosed injury following the preseason and was later waived.
Before joining the NFL, the 6-foot-1, 214-pound Laguda played for three seasons at the University of Colorado. Laguda tallied 150 tackles, eight tackles for a loss, eight pass defenses, two interceptions and two forced fumbles.
