Falcons sign Adam Gettis to one-year contract

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- The Atlanta Falcons announced Wednesday that they have signed former Tampa Bay Buccaneers guard Adam Gettis to a one-year contract.

Gettis, 30, was most recently with the Buccaneers and has experience working with new Falcons offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter. Originally a fifth-round draft pick by the New York Giants in the 2012 NFL Draft, Gettis has played for five different NFL teams during his seven season in the league, including the Washington Redskins, Pittsburgh Steelers and Oakland Raiders.

Gettis is the third offensive guard the Falcons have signed this offseason, joining James Carpenter and Jamon Brown. The offensive line was an area of need for the team following last season, and the Falcons continue to take steps towards addressing it. Gettis has played in 17 games during his career and has made one start.

The Atlanta Falcons have signed G Adam Gettis who was drafted by the Giants in the 2012 NFL Draft and most recently played with the Buccaneers in 2018.
