I remember it like it was yesterday. It was a sunny day in my hometown of Indianapolis – my Midwest people know how up-and-down the weather can be there. My little cousin had just got a new pair of Air Jordan 1 Retro UNC Patent Leathers. The year was 2004 and growing up the way we did, we shared clothes a lot – so it was my turn to wear them to school.
Let’s just say that day at school I was the man. And I’ll never forget it as the day I fell in love with sneaker culture.
Atlanta influences everything and it has been on a run for the past few decades – at the forefront of music, style and culture. The Atlanta Falcons must be a part of the conversation when you talk about this run, too (see Deion Sanders, Michael Vick and Roddy White to name a few).
Once up a time I remember watching music videos to see what my favorite rappers, and athletes were wearing so I could know what was HOT. Now with the Internet, checking in to see what’s trending is only a few clicks away. And that’s why I decided to bring it all together and create Falcons Fits. This periodic article will make it easier for you to keep up with the best of what your favorite Falcons’ style, and sneaker choices are off the field.
