FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – Unless you've been living under a rock, you already know that the Falcons issued a statement late Monday afternoon on Julio Jones' absence from minicamp.

That message – which you can read in its entirety right here – was delivered by Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff.

Well on Tuesday, Falcons coach Dan Quinn opened his post-minicamp practice media session with a statement of his own on Jones.

"You guys know how I am in terms of conversations staying private and I don't have answers for you today," Quinn said. "And we're right in the middle of those conversations with Julio and the team. So, when we do have answers you'll certainly have some. I know that's your job and you want them. But I just don't have any to share with you today. Much like most of the players' conversations – we like to keep private."

Despite Quinn's statement that there was really nothing new to report on the Jones front, the Falcons coach was asked several questions about his star receiver's absence and his contract situation.

"Well, the conversations regarding fines – that'll be between Julio, Thomas and myself," Quinn said. "Conversations with all players stay private … Sometimes football and business intersect and that's OK, it happens a lot. But as far as details with it I'm going to choose to keep the conversations from the players' side and my side between us. I know you're looking for answers on that and I just don't have any to share with you today. I know Thomas gave you a statement with that (Monday) night."

The Falcons minicamp is open to the public on Wednesday and runs through Thursday.
