To no one's surprise, the Falcons are kicking off the preseason in Canton, Ohio, when they'll face the Denver Broncos in the Hall of Fame Game on Aug. 1. It'll mark the fourth time in franchise history that Atlanta will play in the Hall of Fame Game. The Falcons' most recent appearance was a win against the then-San Diego Chargers in 1994. Also noteworthy, former Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez will receive his gold jacket during the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement ceremony.

The dates for the Falcons' other four preseason tilts have yet to be determined, but the order is set.

As most Atlanta fans know, the Falcons, Jaguars and Dolphins are no strangers in the preseason. The Falcons have faced the Jaguars and Dolphins eight times each since the 2010 exhibition season.

Atlanta is 2-6 against the Jaguars and 3-5 against the Dolphins during that time span. The Falcons, for whatever it's worth, are winless over the last two preseasons and last tasted a preseason win in 2016 – a 17-15 decision over Jacksonville.

In between their matchups with the Dolphins and Jaguars this year, the Falcons will play back-to-back home games against the Jets and Redskins. Atlanta opened preseason play last year at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., and were shut out 17-0.
