Kicker Matt Bryant has been named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week after kicking his second straight game-winning field goal this season

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — Atlanta Falcons kicker Matt Bryant was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week after his 43-yard field goal with seven seconds left in the game lifted the Falcons to a 16-14 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

The kick was the 11th game-winner of Bryant's career and his second in a Falcons uniform. It was his second game-winner in as many weeks after his 46-yarder in overtime gave the Falcons a 27-24 win over the Saints in Week 3.

Bryant also added an extra point, as well as 37- and 31-yard field goals against the 49ers, going 3-for-3 and finishing with 10 total points. His 10 made field goals lead the league, while his 90.9 field goal percentage also ranks among the league leaders.

The award marks the first time he has earned NFC Player of the Week honors as a Falcons player and it is the fifth time in his career that he has won the award.
