One of the most intriguing positions battles ahead of the 2017 season could be at returner.

The Falcons have a spot to fill on the depth chart at punt and kick returner.

With the addition of Andre Roberts, the Falcons now have three viable candidates to fill this role on their roster.

Here's a look at who could emerge as Atlanta's lead returner:

Devin Fuller

Prior to injuring his shoulder in Atlanta's third preseason game and being placed on IR for the season, Fuller was seeing a lot of action at punt returner for the Falcons. On six punt returns, the receiver averaged 6.1 yards.

In his senior season at UCLA, Fuller averaged 24.2 yards on 16 kick returns and 11.75 yards on 12 punt returns.

Justin Hardy

Since his arrival in Atlanta in 2015, Hardy has been an impact player for the Falcons on special teams. The wide receiver served as the No. 2 option at returner in 2016, behind Eric Weems.

Hardy returned three kicks for Atlanta, averaging 17.3 yards a return.

Andre Roberts

The Falcons recently signed Roberts, a receiver/return specialist who spent time with the Cardinals, Redskins and the Lions. With the Lions, Roberts made the most impact as the team's starting return specialist, where he averaged 12.3 yards on 20 punt returns, adding two touchdowns. He also returned 33 kicks, averaging 22.6 a return.
