Kevin Winston
Senior Director of Player Affairs

Biography

Kevin Winston begins his 12th season with the Falcons in 2017. Prior to his arrival in Atlanta, he spent five seasons with the New York Jets as the Vice President of Player Development and three seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as the Director of Player Development.

Winston and the Player Affairs Department is committed to the safety and total wellness of the Atlanta Falcons organization and strives to offer a full range of services through a holistically-designed program. Some of Winston’s responsibilities include challenging players to be lifelong learners while pursuing continuous improvement in financial and family relations, social interactions, personal growth and career development during and beyond their careers in the National Football League. Along with his daily one-on-one contact with veteran players, Winston has lead the Falcons University Rookie Success Program, a model program of the Atlanta Falcons and the NFL, for over a decade. The program serves as an introduction into life in the NFL and aides them in learning how to manage the increased stress and responsibility while assisting them through their transition as well as creates a better understanding of what it means to be a successful player, both on and off the field. He also oversees the Falcons Alumni Legends Community, which continues to serve and educate former players of their personal and professional development opportunities.

The NFL has honored Winston with the Most Outstanding Player Development Department in 2003-04 in New York and in 2008, Winston and the Falcons were the winners of the Outstanding Career Development Program.

Kevin and his wife Dana have one son, Matthew Kevin.
