2015 (Falcons)

Started 15 games and led the team with 98 tackles (65 ). Added two interceptions, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and three passes defensed. Notched a game-high 13 tackles (nine solo) against Philadelphia (9/14). Posted double-digit tackles for the 14th time in his career. Posted three tackles (two solo) at New York (9/20). Helped anchor a run defense that held the Giants to under 100 yards on the ground. Started at middle linebacker and notched five tackles at Dallas (9/27). Helped to anchor a defense that held the Cowboys to 52 total net yards in the second half, including minus-four rushing yards.
Started at middle linebacker and recorded nine tackles (eight solo) with one tackle for loss against Washington (10/11). Helped the Falcons defense hold the Redskins to 51 rushing yards and 2.1 yards per carry. Notched his first career INT at Tennessee (10/25). Picked off QB Zach Mettenberger at the Falcons four-yard line to keep the Titans off the scoreboard at the end of the first half. Finished the game with five tackles and two passes defensed. In three seasons with the Falcons, has seen action in 47 games with 43 starts while totaling 390 tackles (249 solo), four sacks, two interceptions, two forced fumbles, and three fumbles recoveries. Started all 16 games and lead the team with 155 total tackles (92 solo), two sacks and two forced fumbles in 2014. Continued to build on his impressive rookie season with eight double-digit tackle games, which was a team high. Played in 16 games with 12 starts in 2013. Posted a team-high 137 total tackles (92 solo) after notching 21 total tackles in the first seven games. According to Stats LLC., his back-to-back 19-tackle performances were tied for the best single-game total by any Falcon defender since 1994. Became the first undrafted rookie to lead the team in tackles in 2013. Was the third rookie to lead the team in tackles joining Tommy Nobis (1966), Buddy Curry (1980), Rick Bryan (1984). Joined Falcons Ring of Honor member Jessie Tuggle as the only players in franchise history to record 15-or-more tackles twice in one season (since 1994). According to Stats LLC., his 19 tackles were the third-most in a single game in 2013 behind Carolina’s LB Luke Kuechly & Buffalo’s LB Kiko Alonso.

College

Was a four-year starter at linebacker for the University of Delaware. Led the Blue Hens with 107 total tackles (57 solo) in 2012 while adding nine tackles for loss and three sacks.


Personal

Played linebacker, running back, and offensive guard at Concord High School in Wilmington, DE. Was named state Defensive Player of the Year as a senior and led Concord to the 2006 state Division II title and a berth in the state semifinals in 2005 and 2007. Was a nominee for the Allstate AFCA Good Works team for outstanding community service. Majored in history education.
