Selected as a third round (98th pick overall) draft choice by Atlanta in 2010. Placed on injured reserve on October 26, 2011.

2012 (FALCONS)

Played in all 16 games with one start. Primarily served as a reserve offensive lineman in the team's flex role. Lined up at tight end in the Falcons goal-line package and caught a one-yard touchdown pass from QB Matt Ryan at New Orleans (11/11). His first career reception and touchdown. Helped block for RB Jacquizz Rodgers and RB Michael Turner as the duo each ran for touchdowns in Week 12 win at Tampa Bay (11/25). As a starter, recorded 264 knockdown blocks, 39 touchdown-resulting blocks and 18 downfield blocks.

COLLEGE

The unquestioned leader of Alabama’s offensive line who played both guard and tackle. Was an AllAmerica selection in his junior and senior seasons (2008-’09). By the conclusion of his senior season, started in 41 consecutive games while setting the school career-record by appearing in 54 contests. A member of the Crimson Tide’s 2009 National Championship team while blocking for Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram. As a starter, recorded 264 knockdown blocks, 39 touchdown-resulting blocks and 18 downfield blocks.

Attended Pine Forest High School in Pensacola, Florida where he recorded a 4.0 GPA and was named a four-star recruit by Rivals.com. Never missed a practice or weight room session during his four years at Pine Forest.
