2013 (Falcons)

Played in 16 games with seven starts, taking over the starting center role at Tampa Bay (11/17). Blocked for an offense that averaged 343.1 total yards per game in 2013, including 283.8 passing yards per game, which was the second-highest average in club history. Paved the way for a rushing attack that gained 151 yards while QB Matt Ryan threw for 311 total yards in a win over the Bills (12/1). Made his first 2013 start at center for the offense that totaled 440 yards at Tampa Bay (11/17). Helped the offense produce 409 total yards at San Francisco (12/23).

In 2011, made three starts at center before taking over as the starter at right guard for the final nine games of the season. Saw action in 15 games as a reserve offensive lineman during his rookie season in 2010.

Teamed up with Operation Homefront of Georgia to treat military families to a special night of dinner and games at Dave & Busters at Sugarloaf Mills Mall in Duluth before Christmas in 2012. In 2010, a participant in the Atlanta Falcons Rookie Club sponsored by United Healthcare of Georgia, this program gives the players the opportunity to take part in several charitable events.

College

Competed in 47 career games with 33 starts at UNLV as a center and right guard. Started every contest as a junior and senior (2008-’09). A talented blocker who was a leader on the offensive line throughout his collegiate career. Won the Rebel Spirit Award, given to the senior who showed the most toughness, positive attitude and strong commitment to his teammates.

Personal

Attended Esperanza High School in Anaheim, California and was a three-year letter-winner for the Aztecs. Earned 2005 PrepStar All-West Region Honors as he helped his team to an 11-3 record and an appearance in the state finals. Was named the Sunset League Offensive Lineman of the Year in 2005. Also threw discus for the track team.
