Originally selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the second round (56th overall) of the 2006 NFL Draft out of Oklahoma.

Started all 16 games at right guard and blocked for an offense that ranked seventh in the NFL averaging 374.1 yards per game.

Started at right guard and blocked for an offense that gained 378 total yards, including 135 yards on the ground, against Houston (10/4). Opened running lanes for RB Devonta Freeman who became the first player since the AFL-NFL merger to score three rushing touchdowns in his first two starts.

During his four year stint with the Redskins, Chester started all 64 games. In 2013, he blocked for a rushing attack that tallied 2,164 yards, which was the fifth best rushing mark in the NFL.


College



Converted to offensive line as a senior after joining the Sooners’ program as a 220-pound TE, adding over 60 pounds during college. Appeared in 22 career games, starting nine. Had 25 knockdown blocks for a Sooners’ offense that averaged 355.1 ypg in 2005.



Personal



In 2011, worked with the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation and the U.S. Marine Corps to provide 1,100 youth in need with a toy during the holiday season at the annual Skins Santa Shoppe.

During the 2009 season, visited the Ronald McDonald House to pack and donate shoe boxes to send to needy children across the globe.

Two-time first-team Golden West All-League and All-Orange County selection by The Los Angeles Times at Tustin (Calif.) HS.

Gained 815 yards with 11 TDs receiving as a senior and rushed for 450 yards and 5 scores. Earned the League Defensive Player of the Year honors as a small forward on the basketball team as a junior.

Was one of 32 players to attend The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (Feb. 24-27 and March 25-27, 2009).

Chris and his wife, Kirbie, have  three children, Sean, Sylas and Sloane. Full name: Christopher Sean Chester.
