Biography

Robinson Payne begins his fourth season with the Falcons and second as a College Scout, responsible for covering the Northeast area. In 2008, he served as a Pro Scout for the Falcons and was in charge of scouting for 15 teams, the AFL and CFL. Payne’s past experience includes a two-year stint with the Ottawa Rough Riders of the CFL (1996-97) as the Running Backs and Special Teams Coach. From 1993-94, he was with the Sacramento Gold Miners as the Linebackers Coach when the CFL competed in the United States. From 1990-91, Payne was the graduate assistant/running backs coach at the University of Texas. A graduate of Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas, Payne played free safety for four years (1985-89) for the Wildcats.
