Andrew Weidinger enters his first season as the team’s offensive assistant after serving four years as Assistant to the Head Coach/ Offense. Weidinger assisted head coach Mike Smith as well as the offensive staff, in addition to lending support to running backs coach Gerald Brown.
Weidinger will also lend a hand with the Falcons offense, undertaking such duties as managing data, research, daily practice scripts, schedules, calendars and assisting with the running backs. He joined the Falcons in 2007 as a Personnel Scout and prior to arriving in Atlanta, he spent seven seasons at the University of Arizona, where he served in a number of positions, including Assistant Director of Football Operations.
Weidinger received a degree in Political Science in May of 2004 and completed his Master’s degree in Information Resources and Library Sciences in May 2007. He spent late summer and early fall of 2006 in a preseason internship with the Falcons.
