2010 (FALCONS)

Made an immediate impact in his rookie season playing in all 16 games with 15 starts. Contributed with 40 tackles (31 solo), one sack and one pass defensed. Made his first career start and posted one tackle against Arizona (9/19). Posted a career-high five tackles (four solo) at Cleveland (10/10). Notched four tackles (three solo) at Philadelphia (10/17). Recorded four tackles (three solo) at Tampa Bay (12/5). Tied his career-best with five tackles (four solo) at Carolina (12/12). Logged his first career sack and added three tackles in the 2010 season finale against Carolina (1/2).

COLLEGE

A three-year starter on the Kentucky defensive line who contributed with 146 career tackles (83 solo), 27 tackles for loss, 11.5 sacks, 11 passes defensed, one forced fumble and three fumble recoveries. Was a two-time SEC Academic Honor Roll honoree in 2007 and ‘08. Was named Kentucky’s Most Improved Defensive Player by the team’s coaches in 2007.

PERSONAL

Attended Central High School (Louisville, Kentucky) and was a four-year letterman and three- year starter on the defensive line. Was a first-team all-state choice as a senior by the Louisville Courier-Journal and second-team all- state by the Associated Press. Was one of the nation’s top-25 defensive tackle prospects by Rivals.com. Totaled 91 tackles, 15 sacks, three interceptions, five forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and seven passes defensed his senior season. Part of a Central team that went on to the state playoffs all three years, with a best finish of 10-3 and a trip to the state quarterfinals his junior year. Played in the Kentucky-Tennessee High School All- Star Game. A native of Louisville, Kentucky.
