Rookie Takk McKinley's Twitter post hints he could pick off Seahawks QB Russell Wilson come November

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Once upon a time, Takkarist McKinley picked off a pass thrown by Russell Wilson.

Yes, I’m sure you might be saying, “How? He hasn’t even played an NFL game yet?”

Wilson, as you probably know, is the quarterback of the Seattle Seahawks. A three-time Pro Bowler who guided the Seahawks to a win in Super Bowl XLVIII. And McKinley is just a rookie, the Falcons’ top pick in the April’s NFL Draft.

Although McKinley did indeed intercept a pass from Wilson -- see video below -- it didn’t count for anything, really.

While attending the Kids Choice Awards in 2015, McKinley couldn’t help but jump up to snatch a ball that Wilson threw into the audience.

See ball, get ball, right?

On Thursday, McKinley posted the video to go along with the “Throwback Thursday” theme, and took it even a step further by attaching a bold prediction to it.

McKinley sent a warning to all to not be surprised if the rookie pass-rusher picks off Wilson come November when the Falcons and Seahawks square off in a highly anticipated “Monday Night Football” matchup.

McKinley emerged into the conversation of top pass-rushers in the NFL Draft after his breakout season at UCLA his senior year. McKinley recorded 18 tackles for loss, 10 sacks and six pass break-ups.

Atlanta’s first-round pick was unable to participate in any of the offseason workout programs due to an NFL rule that prohibits players from joining their respective teams until their academic calendar is complete.

Even if McKinley was present for workouts in Atlanta this spring, his participation would be held to a limited fashion as the rookie underwent shoulder surgery this offseason.

We’ll have an update on McKinley’s status when the Falcons return for AT&T Training Camp starting July 27.
