Shembo Seeing Increased Time With Ones

Posted Aug 19, 2014

Rookie linebacker Prince Shembo turned heads throughout training camp and will be given a stronger look as the team heads into preparation for Saturday's preseason game.

When rookie LB Prince Shembo first arrived at Flowery Branch, he came in as an outside linebacker and has since been put in at the inside position. Throughout 2014 XFINITY® Atlanta Falcons Training Camp, Shembo worked hard and made sure each rep counted, further proving his work ethic to his coaches and teammates. And it may be about to payoff for the Prince.

Shembo's in line to get “serious consideration” as a starter, ESPN.com's Vaughn McClure reports. Shembo’s NFL debut in a regular season game could come as early as three weeks from now in the season home opener at the Georgia Dome against the New Orleans Saints.

Through two preseason games, Shembo has six tackles, one sack one QB hit and one special teams tackle.
