Travis Jones has been hired by the Falcons as an assistant defensive line coach, and Aden Durde has been hired as a defensive quality control assistant.

Jones, 45, comes to Atlanta by way of Seattle, where he served as the Seahawks’ defensive line coach from 2013-16 and spent the 2017 season in an assistant role. Notably, Jones’ first season as defensive line coach with the Seahawks coincided with Falcons head coach Dan Quinn’s first season as Seattle’s defensive coordinator.

Durde, 37, was previously the NFLUK head of football development, where he worked with international players hoping to make a career in the NFL through the International Player Pathway program. Current Falcons tight end Alex Gray is one such player who earned a spot in the NFL last season via the international program.

Durde does have experience coaching in the NFL, as he spent the summer before the 2014 season working as an interim defensive assistant with the Dallas Cowboys.
