Desmond Trufant and Devonta Freeman returned to full participation and the latest on Dez Bryant

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – After being limited in practice with their respective injuries, Desmond Trufant (ankle) and Devonta Freeman (knee) returned to full participation on Thursday.

Julio Jones did not participate in practice for the second straight day with an ankle injury. However, head coach Dan Quinn does “hope” Jones will practice on Friday.

“My anticipation into the week was nothing yesterday, some today, and then hopefully full tomorrow,” Quinn said. “We’ll see where we go after today.”

Guard Andy Levitre was added to the injury report and was limited with a knee injury.

Cowboys injury update: Bryant's status

For the Cowboys, receiver Dez Bryant did not practice again with a bruised knee and sprained ankle. Bryant insists that despite not practicing, he’ll be ready to play on Sunday. Through eight games, Bryant has 38 receptions for 439 yards and four touchdowns.

The style Bryant plays with has certainly earned the respect of Quinn.

“One of the things that I really respect and admire about his game is his ability to go up and catch the contested passes,” Quinn said. “We call it high point, so when the ball is up in the air, he’s really aggressive to go after it. Not just on a normal coverage, but when it’s really up high he can really get up and go catch it. He’s got aggressive hands, and that clearly shows up in the red zone where two guys are going to battle for it playing man-to-man and he really goes after it.”
