Caldwell Hired as Jaguars' GM

Falcons Director of Player Personnel Dave Caldwell has been announced as the new general manager of the Jacksonville Jaguars on Tuesday.

Falcons Director of Player Personnel Dave Caldwell has been hired as the new general manager of the Jacksonville Jaguars, it was announced Tuesday.

Caldwell oversaw both the college and pro scouting efforts and worked closely with Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff. Caldwell played a day-to-day role in the analysis and evaluation of the Falcons' current roster while aiding in the research on how to acquire future free agents.

“Dave is a very bright, adept and organized talent evaluator,” Dimitroff said. “He has a very sound understanding of team building and player acquisition. Dave has been an integral member of our scouting department and has demonstrated excellent leadership as the Director of College Scouting and as the Director of Player Personnel. I have complete confidence in Dave, and I know that he will excel in his new role as the General Manager of the Jacksonville Jaguars.”
