The Falcons and Panthers are both coming off close losses — the Falcons to the world champion Green Bay Packers and the Panthers to division rival New Orleans. The two teams meet in the Georgia Dome to renew what on paper looks like a re-energized rivalry. The Panthers have been a surprise team in 2011 with rookie quarterback Cam Newton leading the charge. The Falcons will look to even up their record and get their first NFC South win of the year.
