Sixteen Georgia teachers will win a Symetra Heroes in the Classroom Award for outstanding leadership and instructional skills. Teachers will receive a $1,000 donation for their classroom, two tickets to a 2014 Atlanta Falcons home game, as well as a VIP sideline experience at the Georgia Dome and recognition both in their school and on the field.

HOW DO I NOMINATE A TEACHER?

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

  • All K-12 teachers in the state of Georgia!

WHO CAN I NOMINATE?

  • Current or former students of a nominated teacher
  • Parents of current or former students of a nominated teacher
  • Coworker of a nominated teacher
  • Current or former principal of a nominated teacher
  • School district staff

WHAT ARE THE CRITERIA FOR SELECTING HEROES?

  • A teacher who makes a real difference in students' lives
  • A teacher who goes above and beyond in his/her day-to-day responsibilities
  • A teacher who helps students build live skills

WHEN DOES IT START?

  • Nominations will be accepted starting May 2014. The sooner the nominations are submitted, the more opportunity your favorite teacher has to be a winner!
