As a standing tradition, the Atlanta Falcons have partnered with Publix and the Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB) to host its annual FalCan Food Drive.  This year, the partnership has expanded to include several new ways for fans to join the fight against hunger:

Publix Food for Sharing Food Drive

• Between November 14 – November 20, all donations made to the Publix Food for Sharing food drive at all Metro Atlanta Publix locations will benefit the FalCan Food Drive.
• Customers who make a donation are eligible to participate in a special buy one, get one free Falcons ticket offer. These tickets are available at Publix Ticketmaster locations only. Customers must have the donation receipt to receive the special offer. The seats are located in the Publix sections at the December 15 Jacksonville Jaguars game while supplies last.  Other discounts will also be available in other sections for the Tennessee, Minnesota and Tampa Bay games.

“Who’s the Biggest Giver”

• Prior to the Atlanta Falcons vs. Tennessee Titans game on Sunday, November 20, the Atlanta Falcons, Publix and the Atlanta Community Food Bank will host “Who’s the Biggest Giver” contest at Falcons Landing from 1p.m. until 3:15 p.m.  Fans are encouraged to bring as many canned and/or non-perishable items. 

The top 3 “Biggest Givers” will receive the following prizes:

• Two lower level tickets, two pre-game sideline passes and two owner’s club passes to have dinner with Ring of Honor member Jessie Tuggle before the December 15 Falcons vs. Jacksonville Jaguars game.
• Four pre-game sideline passes and four lower level tickets to the December 15 Falcons vs. Jacksonville Jaguars game.
• Autographed Falcons jersey along with two lower level tickets to the December 15 Falcons vs. Jacksonville Jaguars game.
• The first 200 people to donate canned and/or non-perishable items will receive a photo autographed by a current Atlanta Falcons player. 
• Atlanta Falcons alumni Ray Buchanan and Michael Haynes will be on site signing autographs for fans from 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

 FalCan Food Drive School Challenge

As a standing tradition, each year the Atlanta Falcons have partnered with Publix and the Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB) to host their annual FalCan Food Drive.  Beginning in 2010, the Atlanta Falcons and Publix began offering the FalCan Food Drive School Challenge as an exciting new opportunity for schools throughout Georgia to join in the fight against hunger.

 Elementary, Middle and High Schools throughout the State of Georgia will be able to register for the FalCan Food Drive School Challenge from September 12-19, 2011 and is limited to the first 50 schools to register. 

 Schools selected to participate will collect canned food/and or non-perishable items between October 3 and October 31, 2011 for the chance to win exciting Falcons prizes!  The three schools with the highest total pounds collected will be announced on Wednesday, November 9.   

Thank you to all the schools that participated in the 2011 FalCan Food Drive School challenge.  Together these schools collected 57,751 lbs. of canned goods and non-perishable food items.

 The 1^st place school will receive:

• 60 tickets to see the Falcons take on the Tennessee Titans at 1 p.m. at the Georgia Dome on Sunday, November 20
• Falcons Fitness Flag Crew of the game
  • Unfurl the Atlanta Falcons flag on-field during player introductions at the November 20 game.  Participants of the Falcons Fitness Flag Crew spend the day with members of the field crew beginning with an aerobic warm up led by some of the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders, an on-field rehearsal, meal for the group, the opportunity to visit Falcons Landing and culminating with unfurling the giant Falcons flag on the field before the game.
• Special recognition during the game

The 2^nd place school will receive:

• 50 tickets to see the Falcons take on the Tennessee Titans at 1 p.m. at the Georgia Dome on Sunday, November 20
• Special recognition during the game
• Visit to your school for a select number of students with a special visit from Falcons players, cheerleaders and/or Freddie Falcon

 The 3^rd place school will receive:

• 25 tickets to see the Falcons take on Tennessee Titans at 1 p.m. at the Georgia Dome on Sunday, November 20 
• Special recognition during the game
