Broadcast Team

Wes Durham and Dave Archer form the two-person booth for Falcons games on dave fm radio (92.9 FM) during Falcons radio broadcasts.

Former Falcons center Jeff Van Note hosts the Falcons pre and post-game shows.

Wes Durham

Wes Durham was named to the Falcons broadcast booth shortly before the 2004 season.

In his role with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Durham has also been the host of both the radio and television shows featuring the football and basketball head coaches, in addition to a series of video productions about Tech football and basketball.

Before coming to Atlanta in the summer of 1995, Durham spent three years doing the football and basketball play-by-play at Vanderbilt, where he won Associated Press honors for best play-by-play and sports reporting at the legendary WSM. He also had broadcasting stints at Marshall (1991-92) and Radford University (1988-91).

A North Carolina native, his father, Woody Durham, has been the football and basketball play-by-play announcer at North Carolina since 1971, and will be broadcasting his 34th season this fall for the Tar Heels.

Durham is a 1988 graduate of Elon College, where he received a bachelor's degree in mass communications. In 1992, Durham was honored by his alma mater as its "Outstanding Young Alumnus".

 

Dave Archer

In 2004, Archer makes the move from pre- and post-game show host to the booth, completing the three-man team and adding additional commentary to the broadcasts.

Archer has been in broadcasting for the better part of 10 years, doing several radio shows as well as serving as color analyst for Southeastern Conference football games over the past seven seasons.

Archer quarterbacked the Falcons from 1984-1987.

 


Jeff Van Note

Van Note moves from the broadcast booth to the studio in 2004 after serving as the lead color analyst in Falcons broadcasts for the past 14 seasons. Van Note will serve as the host of the three hour pre-game show and the two hour postgame wrap-up from the Georgia Dome for home games and from the studio during away weekends

Van Note has also covered the Tennessee Oilers, Kentucky college football, the Southeastern Conference Championship Game, the Peach Bowl and Southern Conference football.

Van Note is an 18-year NFL veteran who spent his entire pro career in Atlanta. He holds the record for the 11th longest playing career in NFL history and the second longest with one team.
