A veteran of 13 years in the NFL and various major sporting events, Roddy White is in his seventh season as Director of Event Marketing with the Atlanta Falcons.
White is responsible for the club’s special events, game presentation, creative services, mascot program and client services.
White came to the Falcons in 2002 and his team took the lead in the redevelopment of the Falcons game day experience at the Georgia Dome, which included the creation of Falcons Landing — a six acre interactive area designed for fans pregame entertainment — and an overhaul of the in-venue entertainment package. Under White’s stewardship, the Falcons have attracted star acts in various music genres such as James Brown, Ashanti, Sugarland, the Temptations, Travis Tritt, Ludacris, LeAnn Rimes, NeYo and the Pointer Sisters as regular performers at home games.
Prior to his appointment with the Falcons, he spent six seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars as the club’s Director of Special Events and Promotions with responsibilities in special event production, game presentation, advertising and brand management.
White’s event production credits include 12 Super Bowl pregame and postgame shows where he had the privilege to work with artists such as Sting, Ray Charles, Tina Turner, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Bon Jovi, Faith Hill, Mary J. Blige, Vanessa Williams and Natalie Cole. In addition, he has been selected to fill positions for the 2008 NCAA Men’s Final Four, 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City, Utah and the 1994 World Cup Opening Ceremonies in Washington D.C.
A graduate of the University of Georgia, he lives with his wife, Patti, and daughters, Whitney and Sydney, in Alpharetta, Georgia.
