TRANSACTIONS

Originally selected as the second of two fourth round (134th pick overall) draft choices by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2003 NFL Draft. The choice was a compensatory pick.

Signed by the Atlanta Falcons on March 2, 2007.

CAREER

A powerful run-blocker with good ability to pick up the blitz, and has a punishing running style. Also excels on special teams.

Saw action in 16 games with a career-high eight starts in 2006 to help propel the Ravens into the postseason with a 13-3 regular season record as he was named to USA Today's All-Joe Team.

Saw action in 13 games, starting five contests in 2005, and helped pave the way for the Ravens to rush for 1,605 yards. Mughelli also pulled in three receptions for 13 yards and finished fourth on the team with 16 special teams tackles.

Played in three games in 2004 before being placed on Injured Reserve with a hamstring injury.

Saw action in six regular season games as a rookie in 2003.

2006 (RAVENS)

Saw action in 16 games with a career-high eight starts and posted career-high totals in carries (12), rushing yards (50), receptions (21), receiving yards (182) and touchdowns (2). Named second-team All-Pro and to USA Today's All-Joe Team. Also posted 14 special teams stops.

Helped the Ravens rush for 103 yards at Tampa Bay (9/10) in the 27-0 shutout victory.

Blocked for a Ravens offense that tallied 138 rushing yards vs. Oakland (9/17) and posted two special teams tackles.

Made his first start of the season at Denver (10/9) and helped the team average 4.1 yards per carry.

Recorded three receptions for 44 yards and scored his first career touchdown on a career-long 30-yard catch in the 27-26 victory at Tennessee (11/12).

Posted first career carries vs. Pittsburgh (11/26) as he rushed for 21 yards on four carries in addition to posting one catch for 11 yards in the 270 win.

Hauled in three catches for 15 yards and recorded one carry for three yards in the 20-10 win at Kansas City (12/10).

Pulled in a career-high five receptions for a career-high 49 yards and tallied two carries for four yards in the season finale victory vs. Buffalo (12/31).

2005 (RAVENS)

Saw action in 13 games with five starts and helped pave the way for the Ravens to rush for 1,605 yards. Also pulled in three receptions for 13 yards and finished fourth on the team with 16 special teams tackles.

Saw action from scrimmage and on special teams, recording two tackles and earning a special teams game ball in game 3 vs. New York Jets (10/2).

Led the team with four special teams tackles in the 16-13 overtime victory in game 10 vs. Pittsburgh (11/20).

Saw action from scrimmage and had three special teams tackles in game 11 at Cincinnati (11/27).

Saw action off the bench and helped pave the way for the Ravens to rush for a season-high 182 yards, including 105 by Jamal Lewis in the 48-3 victory in game 14 vs. Green Bay (12/19).

Started and helped protect QB Kyle Boller, allowing him to throw for a season-high 289 yards and three touchdowns in game 15 vs. Minnesota (12/25). Also helped pave the way for the Ravens to rush for 88 yards, and caught one pass for six yards against the Vikings.

2004 (RAVENS)

Saw action in three games, recording two special teams tackles, before being placed on Injured Reserve with a hamstring injury on November 17.

Saw action on special teams and had 1 solo tackle in game 2 vs. Pittsburgh (9/19).

Played on special teams before leaving the game in the second quarter with a hamstring injury in game 3 at Cincinnati (9/26).

Inactive in games 4-8.

Played on special teams, netting one tackle in game 9 at New York Jets (11/14).

2003 (RAVENS)

Saw action in six regular season games and one postseason game as a rookie and recorded five special teams tackles, adding one in the postseason.

Inactive in game 2 vs. Cleveland (9/14) and game 1 at Pittsburgh (9/7).

Saw his first NFL action on special teams in game 3 at San Diego (9/21) and posted one solo special teams tackle.

Played on special teams and had one solo tackle in game 12 vs. San Francisco (11/30).

Saw action scrimmage and on special teams in game 15 at Cleveland (12/21).

Played on special teams and had three tackles in the season finale vs. Pittsburgh (12/28).

COLLEGE

Played in 44 career games, starting 33 at Wake Forest, where he was the team's starting fullback and also played tight end in one-back sets.

Carried the ball 137 times for 530 yards and 13 touchdowns while in college. Also had 18 receptions for 164 yards and 14 special teams tackles as a Demon Deacon. Earned second-team All-America honors in addition to being named an All-Atlantic Coast Conference first-team selection as a fullback by The NFL Draft Report.

Started every game as a senior, gaining a career-high 322 yards on 81 carries with 12 touchdowns. Only Brian Piccolo (15 in 1964) and Larry Russell (15 in 1971) scored more rushing touchdowns in a season in school history. Also posted 10 receptions for 111 yards. Rushed 11 times for 74 yards and tied a school game-record with 4 touchdowns against Northern Illinois.

Appeared in every game, starting six contests at fullback, but did not carry the ball as a junior. Posted seven receptions for 53 yards (7.6 avg) and made four tackles on special teams.

Pulled in two passes for 23 yards and opened a hole used by Terence Williams for a one-yard scoring run against Georgia Tech.

PERSONAL

Rushed for more than 4,500 yards and scored 69 touchdowns during his career at Porter-Gaud (Charleston, SC) High School, where he was a three-time All-Conference and team MVP honoree.

Ran for 2,167 yards and 29 touchdowns as a senior and was named the state Player of the Year in his classification in addition to being chosen as a Regional All-Star selection in all divisions. Led the team to a state title (independent school division) in 1996 and state runner-up honors during his senior year (1997).

Also played basketball, tennis, ran track and served as student body vice president.

Hopes to continue his education in medical school.

In Feb. 2006, Ovie took part in the Harvard Graduate Business School's Business education program for NFL players. The program is part of an ongoing NFL-NFLPA initiative to assist players in preparing for their post-playing careers.
