Posted one tackle vs. Arizona (10/1) and was part of a defensive line that allowed a season-low 31 rushing yards.

Started at defensive tackle for an injured Rod Coleman (toe) vs. Pittsburgh (10/22) and posted five tackles, one sack, one fumble recovery and his first-career forced fumble.

Earned All-American and first-team All-Big 10 honors as the team's Most Valuable Player on defense after leading the Conference with 11 sacks as a senior. Also named the recipient of the Big 10 Conference Sportsmanship Award.

Lettered in football, baseball and basketball at Lincoln (Port Arthur, TX) High School.

First-team All-Conference linebacker and team captain as a senior, while also competing at defensive end, fullback and punter. Also a member of the number one ranked basketball team in the state of Texas.

Jonathan's brother, Jordan, is a defensive back for the Seattle Seahawks. He is the youngest of five children.
