Started all 13 games at left cornerback, coming up with 42 tackles (23 solo) and three stops for losses of 13 yards.

Caused one fumble, intercepted one pass and deflected 12 others.

2005 SEASON

All-Southeastern Conference second-team selection by the Associated Press.

Started 11 games at left cornerback and finished with 48 tackles (36 solo) and 2.5 stops for losses of 7 yards.

Deflected a team-high 11 passes (ranked third in the SEC).

2004 SEASON

Missed the entire season after injuring his left knee during practice.

JUNIOR COLLEGE

Lettered twice at Butler County (Kan.) Community College (2002-03), playing football for head coach Troy Morrell.

Recorded 104 tackles (85 solos) with two stops for -6 yards and a pair of forced fumbles during his career.

Deflected 20 passes and intercepted five others for 25 yards in returns.

2003 SEASON

All-Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference first-team selection.

Started 12 games at left cornerback, recording 59 tackles (46 solo) with two stops behind the line of scrimmage.

Deflected nine passes and gained 25 yards on three interception returns.

2002 SEASON

All-Conference first-team choice.

Recorded 45 tackles (39 solo) with two forced fumbles.

Intercepted two passes and had 11 passes defensed for the Grizzlies.

HIGH SCHOOL

Attended Dacula (Ga.) High School, playing football for head coach Kevin Maloof.

The Prep Star All-American was a member of Super Prep's Georgia Top 30 team.

Ran for 700 yards and 10 touchdowns while catching 15 passes for 204 yards and two scores.

As a junior, rushed for 1,349 yards and 18 touchdowns while leading Dacula to an 11-2 record.

Gained 247 yards on just nine carries and four TD's.

Lettered on the school's track team, capturing the region championship in the 200-meter and 400-meter dashes as a junior.

Son of David Irons, Sr. His brother Kenny, was a teammate and standout running back at Auburn.

His brother, Kenny was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2007 NFL Draft.
