Career

2008 (Falcons)
Saw action in all 16 games with one start and finished the season with 35 tackles (27 solo), four sacks for a loss of 25 yards, one forced fumble, three fumble recoveries and one pass defensed.

Led all defensive linemen with five tackles and one fumble recovery at Philadelphia (10/26).

Collared two tackles and two sacks (13 yards) vs. Carolina (11/23), marking the first time he had recorded two sacks in a single-game in his career.

Recorded his first career forced fumble at San Diego (11/30).

Finished with four tackles while adding one sack for a loss of four yards and two fumble recoveries at Minnesota (12/21).

Made his first start of the season at left defensive end and contributed with three tackles and his fourth sack of the season for a loss of eight yards against St. Louis (12/28).

2006 (Falcons)
Started 13 of 16 games played, tallying 43 tackles, one sack, one interception, one fumble recovery and two passes defensed.

Saw extended action in season opener at Carolina (12/31), filling in for an injured DE Patrick Kerney (tricep), and registered one tackle, one fumble recovery and one pass defensed.

Posted four tackles and one sack vs. Pittsburgh (10/22).

Collected two tackles, one pass defensed and first career interception (41 yards) at Washington (12/3). The interception led to the Falcons go ahead score in their 24–14 victory over the Redskins.

Posted a season-high six tackles vs. Carolina (12/24).


2005 (Falcons)
Played in all 16 games, including five starts (two at LDE, three at RDE), and tallied 31 tackles, one sack and two fumble recoveries, one of which was returned for a touchdown.

Made first career NFL start at Seattle (9/18) and posted three tackles from the left defensive end position.

Posted second consecutive start at Buffalo (9/25) and collected two tackles and his first career sack.

Recovered a forced fumble by DT Rod Coleman and returned it 24 yards for a touchdown vs. New York Jets (10/24).

Started at Chicago (12/18) and tallied a career-high eight tackles from the right defensive end position.


College
Totaled 40 tackles, seven sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and one blocked kick in 24 games for Florida State. Converted to defensive end as a senior from the outside linebacker position.

Named the team’s most improved defensive end and outstanding player as a senior after posting 22 tackles, five sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in 11 starts.


Personal
First-team All-State Class 4A and All-America selection as a senior at Auburndale (FL) High School, rushing for 1,000 yards in addition to playing linebacker and defensive end.
