2004 Falcons Caravan: Rome
May 21, 2004

Atlanta Falcons players and cheerleaders made the first of five Falcons Caravan stops when they rolled into Rome, Ga. on Friday, May 21.

Falcons defensive end Patrick Kerney, wide receiver Woody Dantzler, safety Bryan Scott, lienbacker Eric Johnson and fullback George Layne pulled up to the Boys and Girls Club of Northwest Georgia (West Rome Unit) where they instructed 200 kids in Punt, Pass & Kick drills. Courtney, Kim and Loni of the Falcons cheerleaders were on hand to provide dance instruction. Freddie Falcon was also in attendance.

After appearing at the Boys and Girls Club, the Falcons Caravan then rolled on to the Rome K-Mart Super Center, where Atlanta's representatives signed autographs for fans.

All fans had the opportunity to tour the Falcons Mobile Museum and purchase Falcons memorabilia from the Mobile Store that was on site. The Falcons then wrapped up their visit by taking in a Rome Braves game, which saw Kerney throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

The next stop for the Falcons Caravan is Brunswick, Ga. on Friday, June 4. Other tour stops include: June 11, Macon; June 23, Chattanooga; June 25, Savannah.

The Falcons Caravan is presented by Delta Air Lines, Ford, The Home Depot, Coca-Cola, and MBNA.
