How you got started/ what inspired you:  I practiced law for two years as an attorney for insurance carriers before deciding to start my own firm.  I wanted to help people.  That was the major reason why I decided to start my own firm.  Being able to represent consumers has been extremely fulfilling thus far.

Goals for your business in the next 10 years:  In the next 10 years I hope that my business continues to grow.  I will be in a position to help other young lawyers get their start.

Favorite inspirational female entrepreneur:  I don't have a favorite inspirational female entrepreneur, but I do credit my success and drive to my parents.  They raised me to be tough, take big risks, and remain faithful.

How you got started/ what inspired you: I always thought I would be this big business woman, making deals, working until 11 at night, being CEO of some big marketing firm... I worked two 90-hour work weeks in a row and knew I needed that ‘work-life balance’ a little more.  So I answered a few easy questions:  What do I love?  If money weren’t an option, what would I do all day long?  What makes me happy?  Debbie Harry once said, “Dreaming is free,” which is so true. I think everyone knows how scary it is to take a dream from your head to your hands.  I was so scared for so long to fail others and, therefore, fail myself.  But once the realization came that I was a failure for not even attempting something is when I bought my first Digital SLR and got to shooting. I’d done photography and graphic design in high school and college. Nine months later I find my life in a whole other direction. Its stressful, its guilt-ridden, its intensely agonizing on my wallet and schedule but it is THE most rewarding thing I have ever done. Every day I’m inspired to do something more the next both personally and professionally.

Specialties: Wedding/Engagement Photography, Event Photography, Kids Portraits, Pet Portraits, Graphic Design for Albums,Cards, etc.

Goals for your business in the next 10 Years: It is still so crazy to think I can get paid for things I love so much and would do for free! In ten years I hope to still be as crazy in love with the images I produce and still feel moved by the reaction I get when others can translate my images into a moment/feeling.  I pray that in ten years I am still learning something new every hour about lighting, life and about the lives of those that I get to be apart of.  Down the line I hope to have other photographers/future entrepreneurs on my staff and be able to enable them to do what they love as well.  I hope to have met thousands of happy couples, new parents, innocent babies, crazy dogs, beautiful models, busy graphic designers, and people that love the life they lead, however they lead it. Oh, and I hope all those I met have an image I took on their wall, refrigerator, desk, key chain, computer background, etc.

Favorite Inspirational Female Entrepreneur: I love Suze Orman and Oprah but I have learned so much from my entrepreneur teammates, to. Everyone has a good story to hear, imitate, learn from… I think it is a crime to hide the successes and aEVEN BIGGER CRIME to hide the failures of this entrepreneurial experience.

Megan
The Fever Performing Arts

Year Started: 2008

How you got started/ what inspired you: How I got started? Well, you know that saying, “one door closes and another door opens?” That’s how I got my start! I believe that every child has ability given from God to use to glorify Him in different ways. Each child just needs proper attention and education to take their abilities to the next level. Growing up, I wanted so badly to be involved in a program that would train me to become a triple threat performer: singing, dancing, acting. However, the program did not exist. Now I have the opportunity to give back to the community want I always longed for.

Specialties: Vocal, Dance, and Theater classes for all ages!
