Verizon Wireless HopeLine Drive
Calling all Falcons fans! October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and for the sixth consecutive year, fans are encouraged to support the cause by donating no-longer-used wireless phones and accessories to benefit victims of domestic violence through the Verizon Wireless HopeLine® program.
Through the Verizon Wireless HopeLine program, used wireless phones, batteries and accessories from any service provider are recycled, or refurbished and sold for reuse. Proceeds from the HopeLine program are put toward cash grants and wireless phones with prepaid airtime to non-profit advocacy organizations and law enforcement agencies to aid survivors of domestic violence. Wireless phones and technology can serve as a vital link to emergency or support services in a time of crisis or as a reliable, safe connection to employers, family and friends as survivors rebuild their lives.
Please stop by the Verizon Wireless tent on Sunday October 18 on Falcons Landing to hear some exciting news from Verizon Wireless, win great prizes and donate your old cell phones to help put an end to domestic violence right here in Georgia and across the country.

National Anthem
129 & Counting
“129 & Counting,” is a very entertaining quartet whose melodious, nostalgic chords have charmed audiences in the classic American style of four-part, a cappella harmony for years. In fact, that’s how they adopted their name. Their combined 129
years of being active members in the Barbershop Harmony Society is proof enough that they have gained the experience over the years and have resolved that they are going to just, “Keep Counting.”
In fact, they have been performing for the Falcons for years, dating back to the early days when a winning record wasn’t the norm. Tenor, Bill Schreiner has performed for the Falcons since 1969 and has obtained a winning record that the Falcons would love to have (18 wins vs. 4 losses). Together with lead singer, Shelby Robert; bari, Bob Snelling and bass, Ray Taylor the quartet is honored to perform Our National Anthem, once again. By the way, they are shooting for their 10th win since first performing in 1975 when the Falcons were victorious over Denver, 35 to 21.
