FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – The Atlanta Falcons today hired Marvin Allen as the club’s Eastern Regional Scout and promoted Mark Olson to Western Regional Scout.

Allen, a Wichita Falls, Texas native, spent the last 16 seasons with the New England Patriots, including his last 12 in the player personnel department as an Area Scout. Allen is a graduate of Tulane University and was drafted by the Patriots in the 11th round (294th overall) of the 1988 NFL Draft.

Olson has served in the Falcons player personnel department for the last 11 seasons. His responsibilities will be enhanced following his last five years as the team’s Area Scout (West).

Bob Kronenberg also joins the Falcons as an Area Scout following seven seasons serving as the assistant head coach and defensive coordinator for the Georgia Force. In 2005, the Force defense topped the League in touchdown passes against (67) as the team made an appearance in the ArenaBowl.
