FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan is on the ballot for Diet Pepsi Rookie of the Week thanks to his performance in the Birds 22-16 victory over San Diego Sunday afternoon.
Ryan completed 17 of 23 passes for 207 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the victory.
It's the seventh time Ryan has been up for Rookie of the Week honors. He's the second Falcons rookie in a row to be honored with the nomination, with Harry Douglas up for the award after Week 12.
