FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – The Atlanta Falcons today waived defensive end Brandon Miller and signed wide receiver Eric Weems from the practice squad to the active roster.
Weems, 5-9, 191 pounds, has spent the first 11 weeks of the 2008 campaign on the Falcons practice squad. Last season, he was signed by Atlanta as a rookie free agent on May 1, 2007 and competed on the team’s practice squad through the first 16 games. Weems saw his first NFL action in the 2007 season finale against the Seattle Seahawks at the Georgia Dome.
Miller was originally signed by the Falcons as a rookie free agent on April 28, 2008 and spent the first 10 weeks of the season on the practice squad before being elevated to the active roster on November 11, 2008.
