ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Falcons encouraged fans attending the Falcons-Bears game on October 12 to text in their vote for one of the two major-party presidential candidates: Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain.
The fans had the entire second half to text in their vote to one of two numbers assigned to the respective candidates. While this is an unscientific poll, it was interesting to see which candidate Falcons fans in the Dome today preferred just weeks before this historic election.
With a total of 491 respondents, the vote favored Barack Obama over John McCain 64% (312 votes) to 36% (179 votes).
The Atlanta Falcons and CNN thank you for your support and for participating in this in-stadium survey!
