Q: How did you feel about the team’s performance in the first half?
A: “We did a couple of good things, but the biggest thing is that we stayed healthy. Now we’re going to head back to Atlanta and get ready for the season opener against Detroit.”
Q: How excited are you for the start next week?
A: “I’m very excited for next week. Hopefully we can leave Baltimore with a win tonight.”
Q: Talk about the play of the offensive line.
A: “I thought the offensive line did a great job this preseason. I was really excited about playing with them and they did a great job with protection. I think that group has built some great chemistry.”
Linebacker Michael Boley
Q: Talk about the play of the defense tonight.
A: “I can’t say that I’m satisfied with the play tonight. We still need improvement in all areas on defense.
Q: Talk about the play of some of the young linebackers on this team.
A: “I love to see the young linebackers come out and hit guys in the mouth. They have done an outstanding job all preseason.”
Defensive End John Abraham
Q: Talk about the preseason for the Falcons
A: “It feels good to get through the preseason not having any major losses on defense or offense. That’s what a lot of people worry about. We came through healthy and that’s the best thing.”
Q: Are you excited to get to the regular season?
A: “I’m excited to get to the regular season. We are going to be playing against the big boys now, rather than just going through the motions.”
Offensive Lineman Todd McClure
Q: What are your thoughts on the preseason?
A: “It’s good to get this preseason over with and now we are looking on to Detroit. We are getting into the real season where everything counts. I’m really excited about our running game and we are going to show what we can do with it next week.”
